![]() ![]() ![]() Here is not just about having fun, the children do not waste time. The school is small but inclusive and very diverse - which is sometimes hard to find in private schools in the Holland area. Parent: We moved our children to this school in search of a better educational level, more Spanish and greater diversity and we have truly felt the change. Overall though, the Potter's House is a great, tight knit community. A majority of students receive tuition support from donors, which is great, but it means the students body is expected to "show off" in a way with performances throughout the year, and making sure there is a diverse group of students in photos and advertisement. However, some of the policies of the school are a bit excessive compared to neighboring schools, and the administration claims it is so Potter's House is "unique" and "does things differently." The Christian aspect of the school is great, but it is difficult to share you opinions safely if they are different from the majority, because the school is able to find anything possibly offensive. Most of the teachers are great and care about you. ![]() There are students from many countries around the world and as a student, you get to hear about the different experiences your peers have had. Junior: The diversity at the Potter's House is greatly recognized and celebrated. They offer many college courses, and the workload, though tougher, prepares you for your workload in college. Most of all, CCHS prepares you for college. Their athletics teams frequently go far in regional competitions against larger schools and receive all-academic awards their Robotics program made it to the State Finals in its first year of existence the Band and Orchestra programs received straight A's in Festival the Chorale received a nearly-perfect score and a perfect score (119/120 and 90/90) and several students have received first- or second-honors awards for excellence in representing their countries in Model UN. In addition, Calvin has great extracurriculars, from athletics and arts to robotics and Model UN. Senior: CCHS is such a great place to learn! The teachers care about the students and take the time to get to know who they are and guide them in the process of growing as people. ![]()
